What we did on Saturday!!!!!!!

I REMEMBERED! We went to fireworks in Battersea Park!!!!! And they were BEAUTIFUL! I don't know how I forgot. Hayes, John and I went. Mandi was the kindhearted person who let us know about them, and we went! All part of Guy Fawkes celebrations. A brief history:

Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament. He was a total anarchist, and the English don't like him. So every November 5th, they have bonfires and fireworks and celebrations! Saturday was the 6th (as you probably are aware), but that's when the big celebrations were held. So that's what we did! Fireworks were beautiful. Choreographed really well with the music. I loved it :) Afterwards, we found another pub, stopped at a little store and bought some baklava (SO GOOD), and headed back to the flat. We left Battersea from a different tube station than the one we arrived at, so we had to change lines. The tube stop we usually use, Holborn, has platforms for the Piccadilly and Central lines, so you can easily take either to get back. Hayes and I were arguing about how to get back fastest, whether to transfer and take Piccadilly or  stay on the line we were already on for an extra stop and take Central. I argued Central on the basis that once you arrive at Holborn you've got to take two escalators up to ground floor if you take Picadilly, whereas you only have to take one if you're riding Central. That was a long, involved story to tell you that it became a race. A race that I won. Yessssss :)

So that's the real story about Saturday night. Sorry for the excessive use of exclamation points (!!!!!!!!!!!).
